About Acrylic Dreams
Hi!
My name is Noor. I’m a high school student and the founder of Acrylic Dreams. I am a self-taught artist, and I have been painting since I was only 12 years old. Originally, I found acrylic paint to be both fun and versatile. Since then, I have dove into the world of digital art, traditional hand drawings, and photography.
I was inspired to create this organization when my family and I moved to the Middle East in a time of great uncertainty. My classmates, peers, and neighbors were terrified of the change that would soon come upon their beloved country. I can only imagine what Syrian children experience on the daily. Through Acrylic Dreams, I hope to raise awareness about the needs of the Syrian community while pursuing art.
Acrylic Dreams is a socially responsible business which donates at least 80% of its profits to Small Projects Istanbul and other humanitarian organizations. The funds will support free language programs, art classes, and field trips for refugees. The remainder will help me purchase supplies and fill shipping orders. You may donate directly through their website; https://www.smallprojectsistanbul.org/.
Thank you, and I hope we can build more bridges together!
